Critical care comes early, with ICU and CCU rotations in the first year.
From “Program curriculum” on the CaRMS page
- TMU's Internal Medicine program is a 4-year residency built on a three-year core curriculum, and residents not matched to a subspecialty can complete a fourth year.
- Training takes place at partner sites spread across Peel and the surrounding region, including William Osler Health System and Trillium Health Partners, and residents are expected to travel between them.
- Residents rotate through ICU and CCU in their first year, and every year includes an ambulatory medicine block.
Based on what the program says about itself.
- You’re open to training at sites across a region, not at one hospital.
